Thing 3-Brandy? Don't mind if I do. Sorry my mistake-branding!
An interesting thing this. I wouldn't consider myself to have a personal brand. After all, I'm not one of the self obsessed candidates on the Apprentice. However when you really think about it we do say a lot about ourselves through our digital presence whether we intend to or not.
Searching for myself on Google was quite amusing as I seem to be both a successful HR executive as well as a rather dubious American actor. I think I got to the third page before I found anything that was actually linked to me and that would probably indicate that I need to increase my online presence by doing something of worth!
We have recently rebranded here at work and a lot of discussions took place about the importance of getting the new branding right. With this, and the comments on the cpd23 blog, in mind I have changed my profile picture (to one showing my appreciation of cake) and have also tinkered with some of my blog settings. Hopefully this will reflect some of my personality and show that this is a blog about my own personal development.

Thing 2-having a nosy round other blogs
So I've had a bit of a browse around other blogs and it's really encouraging to see how many people are in my situation i.e. a blogging novice. I'm really looking forward to reading more and seeing how we all get on!
Thing 1-blogging for beginners!
Hello and welcome to the momentous occasion of my very first blog! Now I'm actually doing this I feel rather foolish that I haven't blogged sooner. Especially as I've extolled the virtues of blogging to others-oops!
I’ve decided to participate in cpd23 as it seemed like a great opportunity to explore some technologies that I’m not yet familiar with, as well as to develop my reflective writing and blogging skills. I'm especially looking forward to meeting other bloggers online and hearing about their cpd experiences. I've started the programme a week late but am now ready and raring to get going and am looking forward to developing new skills and to hearing about what is happening in the wonderful world of LIS!
